tyler@stronglands.com
A native of Monroe County, AL, Tyler’s unique background combines a lifetime of land knowledge plus current detailed investment and long-term planning options. Prior to moving to Birmingham, Tyler operated a nearly 7,000 acre family landholding operation and managed the forestry, farming, and commercial real estate operations. When the family elected to subdivide the property, Tyler directed the process and organized a fair division of the land assets to multiple family units. Tyler continues to operate his family’s 2,200 acre cattle and timber ranch and directly manages a total of 4,000 acres for multiple successor entities. This experience allows Tyler to advise clients on contractor and prescribed fire management, GIS mapping, consulting on land subdivision, value calculations, as well as often overlooked tax consequences of a sale versus subdividing landholdings and associated assets.
